Early October 2004 : New sidewalk, brick accents, and pedestrian lighting in front of the Stone York Plaza. Recently the plaza got a facelift; note the new awning installed by the owner and patio seating in front of Lou’s Bagel Cafe. “Green Vase” Zelkova trees will be planted in this area.

Early October 2004: The new “median” between York Road and the parking area for the shops in the 6900 block. The steep slope is replaced with a stone veneer retaining wall, and the parking lot is expanded to add five parking spaces. A pedestrian refuge area is also provided at the Regester Avenue intersection. When the brick work is complete, plantings will follow.

Early October 2004 : New sidewalk, brick accents, and ADA-compliant parking (and ramp) near Uncle Wiggly’s. The streetscape improvements, coupled with the renovations to the First and St. Stephens Church, provided a fine setting for the National Night Out in August.
