The SHA document collection consists of different file types. If your browser is unable to open a file, you may benefit from downloading and installing one of the following plug-in applications or viewer software.

This page contains a list of the different file types by file type used in the SHA Website. Every attempt has been made to provide a link to download a viewer that is accessible, i.e., compliant with the Section 508, 1192.22 technical standards. SHA is unable to provide an accessible viewer link if the manufacturer does not have such a viewer available at this time. To obtain a viewer, select a link, read the site disclaimer, and follow the online instructions for downloading and installing the application.

Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF)

Adobe PDF files are a compressed file format that preserves all of the original text, graphics, and format attributes of a file for viewing and printing. Download a PDF plug-in

Microsoft Word

Microsoft Word is a document and text editor that uses the file extension .doc. To view a Word document, you need to use the Word software or other document editor that can read and convert Word documents, or you can install the free Microsoft Word viewer. Download a Free Word Viewer

Microsoft Powerpoint

Microsoft Powerpoint is a slide presentation application that uses the file extension .ppt. To view a Powerpoint presentation, you need the Powerpoint software or other slide presentation software that can read Powerpoint. Download a Free Powerpoint Viewer

Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet software application that uses the file extension .xls. To view an Excel spreadsheet, you need to use Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet application that can convert and read an Excel document. Download a free Excel Viewer

GIF, JPG, JPEG and PNG

These file types are graphical formats supported by most graphical web browsers. In most instances, no additional software or configuration is required.

ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange)

ASCII files are created using standard binary character combinations. The files are commonly called text files. The text file viewer in your web browser loads ASCII files, and no special configuration is required.
