Welcome to the Web Page for the Engineering Access Permits Division. This site is provided to help applicants negotiate through the permitting process for access to state roads. This process is applicable for residential and commercial access requests. There are fifteen Area Engineers that oversee the access permit process. Each Area Engineer is responsible for a different geographical area in Maryland. If you need additional assistance, you may contact the office directly at (410) 545-5600 (local or out of state) or toll free at 1-800-876-4742.
