The mission of the Office of Administration (OOA) is to provide high quality human resources and management support services to the internal and external customers of the SHA. The key division and critical assignments of OOA are as follows:
Statewide Learning Services Division Manages and coordinates employee training and educational activities and programs for the SHA. Responsibilities also include directing the operation of the SHA Learning Resources Center.
Classification Division Provides classification and compensation service for SHA to include the performance of classification studies and surveys, development and modification of job specifications, the review of reorganization proposals, and salary survey. A critical project is the development and implementation at SHA of the Department's new job evaluation system of Position Appraisal Method (PAM).
Diversity & Special Initiatives Responsible for developing and managing programs and activities which support SHA's Diversity initiative. Manage and review areas of opportunity to recruit and promote a diverse work force. Manage outreach and partnerships programs with local universities and schools to maximize diversity in the work force. Develop and implement training curriculum to address diversity issues.
Employee Services Division Responsible for managing SHA's employment function including new employee orientation, processing of personnel transactions (selection, promotion, reclassification, disciplinary actions), management of official personnel records, and administering employee benefits and recognition programs (including health benefits and retirement).
