Description:  Replace Structure No. 15073X0 - MD 190 (River           
Road) over Rock Run. The crossing is located approximately 500           
feet west of the MD 190/MD 189 intersection.  The project limits           
extend between the MD 190/Giant Store/U.S. Post Office           
intersection and the MD 190/Gary Road intersection for a total           
of 0.11 miles.  The proposed drainage improvements include           
replacement of the existing dual culverts at the location of the           
existing structure, installation of a closed drainage system           
adjacent to the culvert and installation of a stormwater           
management facility west of the culvert. The culvert immediately           
downstream of the MD 190 culverts is to be removed and the           
channel re-graded and stabilized.  Roadway work includes           
widening and installation of curb and gutter, grinding, HMA           
resurfacing, relocation of a private, HMA driveway, signing,           
marking, installation of upgraded signalization at the MD           
190/Giant Store/U.S. Post Office intersection including count-           
down pedestrian signals, reconstruction of accessible sidewalk           
ramps within the project limits, maintenance of traffic, erosion           
and sediment control and landscaping.  An 8-inch waterline under           
the MD 190 culverts will be relocated as a part of this           
contract.           
           
Pre-Bid Conference: A Pre-Bidding Session will be held at 10:00           
A.M., May 9, 2006, in the Auditorium of the State Highway           
Administration District 3 Office located at 9300 Kenilworth           
Avenue, Greenbelt, Maryland 20740.
