            TO ALL PURCHASERS OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS           
           
           
  The bid opening for this project is not being changed by            
this addendum.  The date is still April 27, 2006.           
           
           
  THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS IN RESPONSE TO COMMENTS RAISED           
AT THE PRE-BID MEETING.           
           
           
           
Comment:  Is 25 percent of the total bid amount required to           
          provide a Paint System Performance Warranty bond for           
          all the bridges required for warranty?           
           
           
Answer:   Yes, the successful bidder shall furnish a Warranty           
          Performance Bond equal to 25 percent of the total           
          Contract amount for all items.           
           
           
           
Comment:  Is the Contractor responsible for providing a Paint           
          System Performance Warranty bond for the paint failure           
          at the beam ends due to leaking expansion joints.           
           
Answer:   Yes, the successful bidder shall furnish a Warranty           
          Performance Bond for the paint failure at the beam           
          ends due to leaking expansion joints.           
           
           
           
  THE ATTENTION OF PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS IS DIRECTED TO THE           
FOLLOWING CHANGES IN THE INVITATION FOR BIDS:

          of traffic restrictions and standards.           
           
55-57     Revised replacement sheets to provide maintenance

   Please attach this Addendum No. 1, to the front of the           
Invitation for Bids before submitting your bid.           
           
           
  Remove the original mentioned sheets from the advertised           
Invitation for Bids.  These removed sheets are hereby voided.           
           
           
           
  Insert and securely fasten the attached sheets in their           
proper sequence.
