The attention of prospective bidders is directed to the
following questions posed to the Administration and their
associated responses. The responses to contractor questions
included in this notice shall be considered part of the
contract documents. The responses shall be taken into
consideration in the development of the contractor's bid
package
Question No. 1
The Special Provision Category 300 "Drainage" page 71 and 72
calls for a Compost Seed Blanket. Measurement and payment
calls for this to be per contract unit price per square
yard. There is no pay item for this item, please provide
pay item.

This specification was deleted from the project.

Question No. 2
Pay item 3017 and drawings calls for a ¬ inch wire mesh to
be applied to the perforated pipe, part of the low flow
device. Does this mean the opening is ¬ inch? Also, what
size of wire? What coating, if any? Or stainless steel,
what is the free screening area % and what is the weight
lbs/sy?
Response
This item was revised to ¬-inch hardware cloth and the cloth
will wrap the 6 inch perforated PVC pipe.
Question No. 3
Item No. 3043, 18 Inch pipe slope drain (PSD); drawings
calls for a concrete water tight connection to existing RCP
but is not clear on connections of PSD to PSD. Do all
connections have to be concrete watertight?
Response
All connection must be watertight. Please refer to Maryland
Erosion and Sediment Control Guidelines for Federal and
State Projects - January 2004 for standard and specification
for Pipe Slope Drain
