Ramps going to and from the westbound Beltway (outer loop) at York Road will be reconfigured to provide safer access to and from York Road and I-695. Today, maneuverability is difficult as motorists enter and exit the Beltway under the bridge, causing weaving conflicts. This reconfiguration of the ramps will eliminate the weave, improve traffic flow and provide a safer and easier way of entering and exiting the Beltway.

A similar weave condition exists along southbound York Road between the existing loop ramp entering York Road and right turning vehicles at West Road. This weave will also be eliminated by the new interchange configuration.

The new interchange configuration also includes a new traffic signal along York Road.
