Starting in September 2003, the State Highway Administration (SHA), began work to replace the bridge carrying York Road (MD 45) over the Baltimore Beltway (I-695). The project includes safety improvements to the existing Beltway interchange and streetscape enhancements along York Road between Fairmount Avenue and Cavan Drive.
