HISTORIC COVERED BRIDGES IN MARYLAND

The Gilpin Covered Bridge in Cecil County, Maryland
This Bowstring and Howe Truss Bridge was built between 1850 and 1860 and is 
located adjacent to MD Route 272 over Northeast Creek in Cecil County, Maryland. 
This bridge is 119 feet long and 13.5 feet wide and is closed to all traffic. A plan to 
preserve this historic bridge is under consideration.
