HISTORIC COVERED BRIDGES IN MARYLAND

Privately owned bridges in Maryland
There are currently 2 privately owned covered bridges in Maryland. One is in
Allegany County, Maryland on a farm. It is a reproduction of a covered bridge built
on a modern concrete abutment foundation with a steel beam superstructure. The
other privately owned covered bridge is in Howard County, Maryland in Woodbine.
It is a private entrance to a summer camp on Burdette's Farm. The bridge was
built in 1942 from old barn timber by the owner of the farm.
