Proposed Roadway Relocation (continued)

Plans have been revised to a four- and six-lane divided, curbed section roadway. The State Highway Administration (SHA) has decided to build the ultimate six-lane roadway and stripe a portion of it for four lanes. This decision was based on updated traffic data and feedback from the community at previous informational meetings. We have decided to stripe proposed MD 216 for four lanes between US 29 and Leishear Road. The segment of MD 216 between I-95 and Leishear Road will be striped for six lanes. The roadway sections portraying these two segments are displayed below.
