Access to Gas Pumps
"It's Good Business!"

A volunteer program promoting accessibility for the disabled driver in obtaining motor fuel from retail outlets has been developed by various Maryland State government agencies and other organizations within the private sector. Many Maryland service stations have responded to this appeal and have agreed to participate on a volunteer basis. If you are a resident or visiting driver with a disability that prevents you from filling your own gas tank, consider going to one of the gas station facilities listed below. These facilities will have someone who will pump gas at self-service pumps and at self-service rates for anyone with disabilities who displays a disabled (handicap) parking placard or license plate. Attendants are not required to pump gas for drivers with a disability if someone able to pump the gas is also in the vehicle. The gas station owners listed below believe "it's good business to do business with disabled persons." Participating stations will post a sign displaying pump service hours. Please alert the attendant by either sounding your horn or displaying your placard. So call them and/or visit them when you need a fill-up!
